***ABOUT THE TAKAICHI FAMILY SWORD: In the spring of 2011, I went on a search for a katana. I had wanted one for a long time, but I also wanted a real-life reference model for Zero’s sword. I could never have imagined that I would find a sword so close to my mental image… In fact, it’s so much like my original sketches that I decided to make this sword the canon model for Zero’s. For all intents and purposes, the one I own is the Takaichi family sword. It’s a beautiful piece of work with an amazing level of detail, and I’m proud to call it one of my prize possessions. – BHS***
